"We didn't actually cook up any chicken tonight, but it was like the Chicken of Music."
Man, I usually ike me some crowd noise in my shows. Cheers and howls that give a tape that "X-factor", like the "12th man" in football. This crowd noise is not of that ilk. When AMS comes out, I think a total of 5 people clap or cheer; everyone else in the bar just carries on like it ain't no thing. Power Generator, seemingly in response to this welcome, is tepid. Warren makes a valiant attempt to get things cooking with a smokin' Trendsetter which, excepting Laramie and Superfriends, pretty much carries through the rest of the show. The "Back in Black" tease played about 7 minutes into Kingpin is money. So, while the boys played maybe a four-star show, the audience noise and bassiness of the recording make it what it is.
